Drag Back
The drag back uses the sole of your foot to pull the ball back toward your body, changing direction in one movement. When a defender cuts off your path, this is what creates space.

Watch & Practice

Section titled “How to Do It”- Approach the ball at a walking pace
- Place the sole of your foot on top of the ball
- Pull it back toward your body in one smooth motion
- Step over the ball with your other foot and move in the new direction
- Alternate feet — practise left and right equally
Focus on: using the sole, not the toe. The toe pokes the ball away from you. The sole keeps it close.
