Laces Drag – Left Foot
Same movement as the right foot — drag the ball forward using the laces of your left foot. If your left foot is weaker, this is one of the most valuable things you can practise. The habit of using your left foot easily will pay off every time the ball comes to your non-dominant side in a game.
This is a Ball Basics training skill.
Watch & Practice
Section titled “Watch & Practice”How to Do It
Section titled “How to Do It”- Place your left foot on top of the ball
- Use the laces (the top of your foot) to drag the ball forward slowly
- Keep the ball close — small steps, not one long push
- Stay balanced and low
- Bring the ball back and repeat
Focus on: the same quality as your right foot. If it feels awkward, good — that’s why you’re doing it.
