Socks

At PFC, we believe rewards should mean something.

The Game Smarts socks aren’t a gift. They’re not handed out at the end of the season for showing up. You earn them by completing a full skill pathway, getting parent sign-off on every session, and passing your skill tests with a coach.

When you wear your socks to training, your teammates know what they mean.

The Game Smarts socks are black with a gold stripe — one stripe for each pathway completed.

Pathway CompletedStripe Earned
Ball BossFirst gold stripe
Ball Basics (all skills)Second gold stripe
Game Smarts Gold (all buttons)Third gold stripe

Players who earn all three stripes wear the full triple-stripe socks — the highest level in the Game Smarts program.

  1. Complete all five Ball Boss skills at home
  2. Get parent sign-off for each practice session
  3. Pass all five Ball Boss skill tests with your coach
  4. Your coach gives you your first stripe (or your first pair of socks)

Soccer players care about their kit. A physical item that only the players who’ve done the work can wear is a better reward than a certificate that goes in a drawer.

Your socks show up at training, at games, in photos. They’re visible to your teammates, your coaches, and your opponents.

And every time you pull them on, you know exactly what you did to earn them.

If you’re a player who earned your socks in a previous season, you keep them. Stripes don’t go away.

Your coach will know your stripe count. If you’re new to the program, start with Ball Boss →.
