Far Post Right

Most young players shoot at where the keeper is. This drill teaches you to pick the far corner with your right foot — the hardest corner to reach, and the hardest for a keeper to stop.

This is Shooting Drill 4.

  1. Set the ball slightly to the right side of the goal area
  2. Look at the far corner (left side of the goal from your angle)
  3. Use the inside of your right foot — wrap it to send the ball across the keeper
  4. Aim low — near the far post, not over it

Focus on: picking the corner before you strike. Decide first, then shoot.

“Decide before you hit. Far post, low, hard.”

Game Smarts Challenge

Hit the far post corner 6 out of 10 times = ready for far post left.
